Departing Fairbanks

We are in our 10th day in Fairbanks. This stop has been about family, tours, replenishment, shopping and repairs. Terrie got to spend some quality time with her sister, Leslie. Leslie and JR both work for the Riverboat Discovery.

Leslie and JR

Leslie and jR got us some special perks during our visit, including a great boondocking spot. Our original plan was to camp in their driveway, but it was a steep turn downhill to park. While reconsidering our plan, the owner of Plant Kingdom across the street offered us her parking lot for the entire stay. It was right across the street and quiet.

The view from Leslie and JR’s deck to our campsite.

This has been a long time in getting published because of technical difficulties.  I will do a separate one on Denali  next.
